Change is an uncomfortable process,

And pain is a heavy load.

When the fear grips us tightly,

When the hurt smothers our hope,

There comes moments where we feel too weak,

Too fragile.

And our hearts break.

Our lives shatter,

And dreams crumble.

The broken pieces 

Do not fit in our lives the same way they did before,

Because we are different.

The suffocating experiences

Are actually working to expand us.

To shift our perspective,

And to instill in us a beauty that could not be recognized without the pain.

The process of renewal can be difficult,

And the journey long and lonely,

But throughout the journey of a lifetime,

There will be moments where the broken becomes beautiful,

And we will begin to see the vision of creation we are becoming,

Strong,

Treasured,

And immeasurable.
